Barcelona :)

i almost forgot my username. nearly covered with dust from this blog.

just came back from Barcelona... a trip like none other. some different experience. didnt stay in a hotel this time round, stayed in one of those apartments. they dont have flats; the same way they dont have coffeeshops and hawker centres. i think a plog will do cuz a blog would certainly jam the blogger server.

this is what barcelona city looks like. tt building in the middle of the street reminds me of gringotts.

the ground floor n first floor of the apartment block,

and the window view of other apartments...

... and the apartment(the living room).

never judge a book by its cover.

there's something about europe and busking. welcome to La Rambla, their orchard road.

this is a real man. he stays still but moves slowly and elegantly everytime a coin clinks in that bowl.

Parc de la Ciutadella n la Cascada. and my photography nt bad man... just tt got lotsa lampposts. haha

Headlines: Retarded family caught queuing into hedge in front of Parlament de Catalunya-

that bird obviously came from madrid.

either a kid's or some girl's 40-sq-feet paradise. this is in a market though

this is not edited. haha i really jumped off n mimicked the Colon guy in the bg.

revelled in Antoni Gaudi's legacy we did. the whole day.

Casa Battlo;

Sagrada Familia (a huge Catholic church. pity we weren't catholics, we went there for the art but not the piety);

and Parc Guell. a place where u find peace and exhilaration in harmony.

visited Barri Gotic the next day but not sure what's so special to Barcelona about it. looks kind of the average carrer or passeig in Barce city.

small me, the courteous sun n the magnificent entrance- to Palau Nac n Montjuic.
actually the 'u' comes with two dots above it but i dunno how to type that.

somehow reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle's Kingsbury setting.

the plaza outside the Montjuic Olimpic. it was blowing a freaking cold 'breeze'.

Montserrat.
a monastery cum small city on the top of a mountain. its out of barcelona btw.

had to take cable car to the top... to first base - literally. Santa Cova.

of course- this is what a cable car is for

... then took the funicular (like a tram) steeply up to the top. Saint-Joan. theres nth wrong with the cam or the glass, nor is it smoking... it just happens that clouds literally pass by. i was damn happy to breathe clouds again.

before the clouds cleared;
and after.

maybe thats where god really is.

how nice to jump off the edge :D then maybe hangglide to the other side or sth

family photo! definitely keepsake-worth.
we listened to their famous boys choir sing, really quite heavenly, and visited the archway at the center of the front facade of the church, where something very important is usually situated. this is it.

not sure what significance it has but it looks like a lady holding out a spherical thingy which visitors can touch. and she carries a baby i think which does the exact same thing with a smaller ball...

this is some passageway somewhere in the church. i like it alot although i dont know what it means. like some candles for souls, all still brightly alive but bodiless.

montserrat was really a nice place cuz i felt close to the heavens. where man just isn't king. can feel it one.

down to earth and back to idiosyncrasies.

FCBarcelona fans gathering outside the hotel to catch a glimpse of Them.

and they're quite hardcore.

outside the stadium, before the madrid match... haha look at the scarf just beside my ear. it says "ANTIMADRIDISTA"

Q: When does a main road become a lane?

back to universitat (where we stayed). an interesting sight.

that bollard sinks into the ground when a driver puts money into the machine up ahead. unique right

n that wraps up our stay in barcelona... i quite enjoyed it really, though not the last day. what with all tt lugging n running about...

anw i wanna share an art tt some people may never get to appreciate... Sunrise above the clouds. beauty at its finest :)

till again ppl :)

  • Barcelona is the mixture of the classic and the modern, the Gothic quartier which is totally my favorite area, all those tiny streets around the wonderful cathedral, where is fresh even in summer and you feel like getting lost in your own, Barcelona is a gateway: the gateway to Catalunya, to Spain, to the Mediterranean, and to the Pyrenees.
    Barcelona is definitely beautiful, elegant and precious.
